3 Days on Oahu: The North Shore Bowl Jam on December 9th, 2006

Recently, I was witness to a bowl event on the North Shore of
Oahu at Steve Ellis's bowl, aka - the Cholo Bowl. The event was
put on by Quiksilver, Skateboarder Magazine, Vans and Cholo's
Restaurant.
I have seen a lot of pro contests but I had never witnessed
anything like what I had seen at that pool. The lineup of skaters
that showed for the contest was a dream come true for anyone
who got the pleasure of witnessing it.
Rune Glifberg, Bob Burnquist, Cab, Lance Mountain, Omar Hassan,
Ngoho, Danny Way, Ben Schroeder, Chris Miller, Grosso, Christian Hosoi,
Sergie Ventura and many others started arriving one after the other.The
intensity and level of skating was at an all time high and everybody just
having a good time. Below are some of the photos from the practice and the
event. There will be many more to follow as well as a video. I want to thank
Steve Ellis personally for giving me the opportunity to come out and photograph
and video the event.
